Uruguayan virtual book triumphs abroad
The Uruguayan project won Virtualibros TIC Americas 2010 in Tradition and Culture awarded by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) in the framework of the General Assembly XL Organization of American States (OAS). To Virtualibros was one of seven winners from 1200 business projects submitted.
Uruguayan Virtualibros is a project developed by companies and LinkTeve Create , which proposes a new way of learning based on Edutainment, a global trend that unites education and entertainment.
Product The book combines conventional computer (or cell) and was developed using Augmented Reality technology. The result is a digital book that allows access to interactive 3D content or videos on the video display illustrating the text being read.
The project won Virtualibros TIC Americas 2010 in Tradition and Culture. For this edition of TIC Americas 1200 is presented business projects representing 36 countries, leaving 32 finalists who traveled to Peru to compete for seven awards. Virtualibros was one of the winners and will now travel to Taiwan to represent Uruguay at Global ICT.
Young creators This project had been awarded in the 2007 edition of Your Ideas Valen for his project Link Teve . Alejandro Palmero, a member of the winning group will be one of the presenters of the sixth edition of Your Ideas Valen to be held July 21 in Montevideo. Montevideo Portal
